LINNAHALL (FKA V. I. Lenin Palace of Culture and Sport)
Linnahall, formerly known as V.I Lenin Palace of Culture and Sport, used to be a concert and sport venue and it's located in Tallinn, Estonia. It was completed in 1980, the year when Moscow hosted the Summer Olympic Games. Since Moscow is in the inland, Tallinn hosted the sailing competitions. The architects behind this concrete structure are Raine Karp and Riina Altmäe. The complex is closed for seven years now. When I had the opportunity to photograph the interiors I was expecting to find some ruines, but the truth is that is better preserved on the inside than on the outside. Living in Estonia for 8 years now, I have always been curious about what used to happen inside this that massive construction. Actually, one of my friends got his first (and last) striptease in the night club there.
