Personal project shot in Taiwan, a continuation from my Korean Schooling series. In 2018 I visited South Korea and got fascinated about Korean schools and elements like symmetries, colors, the alphabet, the sports, so when I got to know I was about to spend 2 months in Taiwan my curiosity for visiting schools and their playgrounds hit again.
This series is shot in Taichung, and although the general aesthetics are pretty similar to the Korean schools, there are a few differences I found relevant: the national flag is not so much present as it was in South Korean schools. And the main sport to practice in the playgrounds in Taiwan is basketball, while in South Korea was football. Also, there are not as many clocks in Taiwanese schools. And of course, the trees are different, as the climate is as well.
